Celebrating Mothers and other special women in May
The PFA again this year organised a range of beautiful gifts for students to browse and purchase last Tuesday, at the Mothers' Day and Gifts of Appreciation stall. These were a lovely part of many families' celebrations on Sunday.
A big thank you to Pooja Jethra - Mum of Prisha in grade 6 and Nimay in grade 4 - for organising this great event once again, and to all the other parents who volunteered to help wrap the gifts and run the stall.
Thank you also to Elle Cato - Mum of Hazel in Grade 2 and Nina in Prep - for organising a social event on Thursday night to ‘Celebrate the women of CPS’. We’ve had a great response and are looking forward to a lovely evening.
Farm fresh, free range egg fundraiser
The PFA has again partnered with local business, Eggs Direct, to bring farm fresh, free range eggs direct to you at school.
Jumbo sized eggs (800g dozen) are available to order in Qkr until Monday 29th May, at the following prices:
- Carton of 1 dozen (12) eggs - $8.25
- Tray of 30 eggs - $17.50
For every carton and tray ordered, between $2 and $3.50 will come back to the school.
Eggs will be delivered to school in refrigerated vehicles, within 24 to 72 hours from being produced on a Victorian farm. They have a shelf life of 5 to 6 weeks; they also have deep rich orange yolks bursting with flavour, so it's unlikely they'll be around for that long!
These Free Range eggs exceed Australian Standards, as the producer has 8000 hens per hectare. (Australian regulations require no more than 10,000 hens per hectare.)
Eggs will be available for collection from school on Friday, 2nd June.
You’ll be able to use the eggs you buy to do some baking for Cupcake Day, which will be held on Tuesday 6th June – more details to come soon, but if you’re keen you can already put your name down in SignUp to let us know what you’re bringing.
