What's Happening in the Art room? Take a Look!
This term in the Art room the Prep students are discovering more of Henri Matisse’s art works and learning more about the talented artist. This term they have had a close look at his art work entitled, The Goldfish, and also the art work, Icarus. They are creating a Matisse inspired sculpture and they are looking amazing!
The Year 2 students have been so inspired by Emily Kame Kngwarreye and have almost completed painting their wooden boomerangs with their own story, using the aboriginal symbols that we have learned. The completed boomerangs make you happy just looking at the detail and bright colours. The Year 2 students can tell you their boomerang story.
The Year 5 students have completed their, Vincent van Gogh inspired, ‘Starry Night Pots’ and they look magnificent! Currently the Year 5 students are creating Sunflower clay sculptures. Students have the choice of style, size, shape, colour, pattern, number, and purpose when creating their clay sculpture and are enjoying getting their hands dirty.
Remember, you are always welcome in the Art room!
