Cross Country News
Over the last couple of weeks, a number of our Rowville Primary School students in Years Three to Six have been busy training for two BIG Cross Country events . . .
On Friday 2 June, eleven of our best long distance runners tackled the hills and mud at Jells Park at the Knox Division Cross Country. They all put in a huge effort and should be very proud of themselves.
A HUGE congratulations to the following students who finished in the top twelve runners in their respective age groups and qualified for the Eastern Region Cross Country event.
Jordan M (12 Year Boys) – 2nd with a personal best time of 10.28 minutes for the 3km run
Ashton Y (12 Year Boys) – 5th
Dhruvi P (12 Year Girls) – 11th
Elise G (11 Year Girls) – 6th
Logan L (9/10 Year Boys) – 10th
The Region Cross Country was recently held on Tuesday 13 June at Yarra Valley Racecourse, a very challenging course. Our students once again did a magnificent job, running against the best athletes in the whole of the Eastern Region, which makes up approximately one seventh of the State. A MIGHTY CONGRATULATIONS to all on a great achievement!
Jordan M – 22nd
Ashton Y – 23rd
Logan L – 74th
Dhruvi P – 90th
