We encourage you to read the following letter as a Carnival is a whole school event and YOUR help is vital to its success.
Dear Class Reps,
It would be great to see all the Essex Heights families get involved and volunteer on the day. The money raised will be used to purchase literacy resources which will benefit all the children at the school, so we need all families to get involved.
Each class or year level has been allocated a stall to run on the day of the Carnival. We are asking Class Reps to help with organising the stall for your class/year level.
We are asking Class Reps to help spread the word about their stall to the families in their class by:
- letting your class know what stall your class/year level has been allocated via class What's App groups or email.
- encouraging the families in your class to get involved on the day. The Carnival is a great day out for families and it also an opportunity for Essex Heights families to get involved in the school community and raise much needed funds for the school.
- once the volunteer sign up link has been created for your stall (the Carnival committee will organise this), send the link to your class and ask families to sign up to a volunteer for a shift at the stall.
The class will also be responsible for sourcing any materials/equipment that may need to be purchased/hired for your stall prior to the Carnival. Any purchases need to be pre-approved by the School Finance Team before making any purchases. Please contact Betty or Kaye before making any purchases. We will be sending each class rep further detailed information about what is involved in running their stall.
It would be great to see all the families at Essex Heights PS volunteer their time to help at the Carnival so we can raise money to support the school our children attend.
It is going to be a wonderful day, full of fun for the whole family, thank you for being part of the Carnival.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Carnival Coordinators, Betty (bettyciorciari@y7mail.com) and Kaye (kayenolan@rocketmail.com)
Secondhand Uniform
The PFC held a second donation day for this term on Friday 16 June, because some families were unable to make it to the one in May.
Bree and I want to thank all the families that have donated uniforms to the PFC, and our team of helpers: Alison, Angela, Naheed, Pam and Sam. With their help, all the lost property boxes were emptied and all named items were returned to the classroom.
The next donation day will be on Friday 21 July, and the next stall on Friday 4 August.
