This week in Mathematics the students will be continuing their investigation on Symmetry

VOCABULARY

Symmetry: When two or more parts are identical after a flip, slide or turn.

The simplest type of Symmetry is "Reflection" (or "Mirror") Symmetry, as shown in this picture of my dog Flame.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Look around your house and try to find as many symmetrical objects as you can. Next draw the objects and also draw the line of symmetry through the objects as well.
