Writing

CURRICULUM FOCUS

This week in Writing the students will be continuing our narrative unit; by creating characterisation.

VOCABULARY

Narrative writing: A piece of writing that focuses on telling a story. Narratives have characters and a setting as well as a narrator who tells the story.

Characterisation: The way that writers create characters and make them believable.

Characterisation describes how the character looks (appearance), what kind of person they are  (personality), what they think about things (views) and what they do (actions).
