Information and Communication Technology

In ICT this term, Stage 1 has been learning about the hardware and software of common digital systems. A computer is a common digital system. A tablet device, laptop and smartphone are also digital systems. Students have been learning how to match familiar forms of software and hardware with their purpose. 

Students have been creating digital documents to type information and insert relevant pictures that match their text. They have even used the app “Paint 3D” to make visual representations of things they like and present facts about themselves.

Over the term, Stage 1 students have had the opportunity to become computer hardware engineers for the day and build their own digital system - a laptop.
