Year 7 Camp

Phillip Island Adventure Resort

This year’s Year 7 camp was so fun and was a great time to bond with others. The activities that we did included:

  • High Rope Course
  • Giant Swing
  • Archery
  • Raft Making
  • Canoeing
  • Initiative Course
  • Campfire Cooking

Some extra activities we did were a night-time beach walk and a movie. There was also free time to play sports, such as tennis and volleyball.

The three activities I enjoyed the most were the giant swing, raft making, and campfire cooking.

The giant swing was an absolute BANGER! In this activity, when one member hopped into the harness and clips, the whole group worked as a team to pull the rope connected to the swing which made the member go higher and higher! The person on the swing then had to pull a cord to go flying through the air. So cool.

Raft-making was so fun! The first thing we did was get into groups. Soon after that, we started to distribute the resources into even numbers and build our rafts. When all groups were done, we tested each raft to see whose raft would go the furthest!

Last but not least, campfire cooking! This activity was so good, not only because we got to make our own pancakes and roast marshmallows, but because we worked as a group and had assigned tasks and roles while starting our own fires.

Overall, Year 7 camp was such a great experience and I hope future camps are as great as this one was.
