Attendance at Winter Sports Training/Games

Parents and students are reminded that attendance at all training and games throughout the winter season are compulsory for all students. The Director of Sport can only give exemptions from winter sports for students in a state or national program. Club sports (NPL, WABL, community football, development squads, etc.) or work commitments are not valid reasons to be absent from sports. Consequences exist for students who miss three or more training sessions, or one game, without a valid reason.

Students are expected to attend training if they have short-term injuries or are sore from weekend sports. Medical notes are required for long-term injuries. Parents are encouraged not to book medical appointments during training or game times.

Senior Sports Training – Weeks 4 and 5

Training will continue as usual during the Exam Weeks for Year 11 and 12 students. Students are encouraged to attend as many training sessions as possible and are expected to contact their manager/coach if they cannot participate in training due to exams, etc. All students must attend the Saturday fixtures in Weeks 4 (v Guildford) and 5 (v Wesley).

Strength and Conditioning Centre

The Trinity Strength and Conditioning Centre is open to all students from Year 7-12 throughout the year. Trained instructors from PerformHQ cater for students from a beginner level through to the more experienced trainer. Fitness programs are developed to ensure that students focus on safety and technique so that injuries do not occur.

The centre is open to students during the following days/times:

  • Monday to Friday morning – 6.45am – 8.00am
  • Monday to Thursday afternoon – 3.15pm – 4.30pm

No sign-up is needed. Students attending a session need to introduce themselves to the instructors. All students must bring a towel to gain entry.

Cross Country Championship Awards

Thank you to all staff for their collective efforts in allowing the event to run smoothly in its first instalment. I congratulate all participants for pushing themselves over the 3km in the TC Spirit of Excellence – well done! I'm looking forward to the event growing next year and in the future.
