Year 3 & 4 Junior Hoop Time Basketball Inter School Competition

Fixtures will be sent through to all parents through an Operoo email message on Friday. A reminder to all Year 4 parents that all students will be attending the competition either as a player on a team or as a key supporting member of their peer’s team.
All supporting parents as coaches and scorers have been contacted. We ask volunteer coaches and scorers to meet our teams outside the entry of the stadium at 9:10am when the buses arrive. Your team will be usher towards you before entering the stadium and finding your court for your first game.

WHERE: Casey Basketball Stadium, : 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Rd, Cranbourne East
WHEN: Tuesday 22nd August
COST: There is a payment fee of $23.00 to cover the payment of the bus and event participation.
Payment must be made prior to the event through the CDFPay platform. It greatly supports the school logistically with ensuring all parents have paid for their child to play.
TIME OF DEPARTURE: We ask all students attending the Junior Hoop Time to be at school by 7:50am in the school hall.
Our aim is to provide ample time for your child to collect and change into their uniform and for staff to organise teams getting to the venue by their first match. As they arrive, they will be marked off on the school roll and provided their team jersey and shorts to change into before they depart on the bus. Buses will depart for the stadium no later than 8:30am.
On the day of the event, the jersey is to be worn underneath their sports uniform. At the end of your child's last game, they will be asked to change at the venue and hand their basketball jersey and shorts to their coach or teacher who will place this in their team uniform bag. This bag of their team uniforms will be handed to Mr Karl Camerino.
WHAT TO PACK:
In a backpack or sport bag of their choice, students need to pack:
- Lunch and Snack (no items to be purchased on the day by students from the stadium canteen)
- At least 2 - 3 filled up drink bottles
- A basketball (optional)
- Basketball shoes (optional if they own a pair, good sturdy runners that grip on hardwood court floors are suitable for students when they are playing)
- Basketball accessories e.g. headband, wristbands (optional if they play competition basketball and wear these accessories)
- Warm Jacket to wear in between games
