Forest School

This week in Forest School we have continued exploring, playing, singing, whittling, building, growing, climbing and generally having fun!
Some children were spotted calling to currawongs that seemed to call back! We love hearing the kookaburras laugh at us, the magpies warbling and the chooks clucking. It has been exciting having the opportunity to explore the dam with some groups again. The frog spawn is still waiting to hatch into tadpoles, the water is still icy (we checked with our feet) and the muddy, clay banks of the dam are still slippery! Some children have been engaged in seed raising and we’re hoping to see peas and wild flowers sprouting in the next few weeks. Others continue to enjoy whittling and developing their knife handling confidence. We are surrounded by blossoming wattle and sunshine … what more could we wish for?
