Mr. Barclay's Bulletin

A message from the school Principal.

Hello NPS families.

I want to start off by showing sincere gratitude and acknowledging Mrs. Shannon Washington for her Acting Assistant Principal stint over the past two weeks.  She has been a wonderful member of staff to have worked closely with. She brought a fresh, honest, and diligent outlook to many a conversation we had throughout the past two weeks and I am grateful for having her in the role vacated by Mr. McKinnis, who returns next Monday.

I am also grateful for Mrs. Michelle Baird who has been teaching our specialist Visual Art classes over the past two weeks for Mrs. Washington.  I know that the students have really enjoyed having you back in a more regular capacity as have the staff. I am still unsure how you were able to get paint on your face during a recent lesson, however... I guess that's just how Art goes!!! ;)

As mentioned at our past two assemblies, our shift towards all students being able to collect house points for their house has been extremely well received as has friendly and respectful competition! The current point tally is below!

It's been wonderful seeing students trying their best to gain points for their houses as well as teachers and staff in general handing out points to students demonstrating our PBS expectations and school values.

I am asking NPS families to take note of and adhere to and that is the use of our car parks and car park gates. These entrances are not to be used for families to drive in to for pick up and or drop off of children, nor are they to be used to walk through. Only families who are using EXTEND on that day are permitted to access the West (Woolworths) Car Park and Staff, and only staff and one particular family, The Healy's, to access the East Car Park. This is for the safety and well-being of our students and their families.

I wish all of our families a great and wonderful weekend and GO CATS!
