Grade 5/6

Mr Watts and Mr Ward

D.A.S.H

Last Wednesday, we welcomed back Carol from Blue Light. That afternoon she handed out certificates to all the 5/6s who participated in the program. This certificate was a great reminder to all students how well they worked and created their idea to help their community. But there could be only two winners!

The Grade 5 winners were Monique and Kaylee! Their idea was to have more bins around the lake and also installing water bubble taps for hydration.

The Grade 6 winners were Lucy and Liam! Their idea was for buddy benches to be designed, created and installed around the school community, allowing people to come together and hang out for a chat!

These ideas will be handed over to the next stage and will be in the process of being created. A big thank you to Carol again, also to all the community members who came in and voted on the students' creations.

State Netball Championships

Last Tuesday, our after-school netball team participated in the State Netball Championships at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Melbourne. What a great experience! The resilience and determination they displayed throughout the day, allowed them to play some brilliant netball. I couldn't be prouder of how well they played and how well they represented the school.

Facing some Grammar schools, big schools from Melbourne, and a few injuries throughout the day, the girls finished with a 2w-3l day.

A huge thank you to Emma Thompson who volunteered her time to umpire for us throughout the day and thank you to Carla Baker and Tess Allen for scoring and supporting the girls.
