School Review

A huge thank you to all members of the school community who have taken part in our school review over the last two weeks. As part of the process, the review panel analysed school data, conducted observations in the classroom, and interviewed panels of staff, students and family members. The panel has presented its initial findings to the school's leadership team to identify areas for celebration and suggestions for improvements. There were many areas to celebrate, but one that was commented on by all reviewers was the respectful, welcoming environment in all classrooms and the positive relationships between students and staff.

The review panel will return on Monday August 21 to present the final report. The panel will then work with the leadership team to identify goals and strategies for the school for the next four years.

Inclusive Outreach Coach

As part of our efforts to create a more inclusive learning environment and to build teacher capacity, we have arranged to work with an Inclusive Outreach Coach. David Fulcher, based at the Ballarat Specialist School, will be working closely with teams to:

  • Provide support during team planning sessions.
  • Give feedback on classroom observations.
  • Model different instructional approaches for staff.

Dave will be working with us every Tuesday for the rest of the year, so please make him feel welcome.

Free Compost System

Thanks to everyone who subscribed to the SubPod newsletter to help us receive a free composting system. The system was delivered to the school last week and will be set up in the veggie garden over the next few weeks.
