Working Bee - a Huge Success!

A big thank you goes out to all the incredible families who joined us for our recent working bee! Your support and enthusiasm made a world of difference in uplifting many elements of our school grounds. We are extremely grateful for each and every one of you who sanded, painted and spread or moved toppings into the gardens. I have had great feedback from students, staff and families that noticed the improvements as soon as they walked into the school grounds on Monday.

Congratulations to our School Concert students!

Well done to all our wonderful students who took to the stage and entertained us with their outstanding performances during the school concert! Your hard work and dedication shone brightly, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you. The message of ‘change’ came through in such a thoughtful and effective way with your singing and dancing, and most importantly it was clear that you not only enjoyed yourselves but worked effectively and collaboratively as a team.

I would like to sincerely thank Sarah Bailey and Linda Zanatta for their outstanding leadership in organising the concert. I know there has been a huge investment of your time into both this and the upcoming Wakkakirri performance and our whole community really appreciates it. Thank you to Gavin Andrew, one of our amazing parents, for his generous time and expertise in handling the technical elements of sound and lighting. A special thanks also to Community Bank Warrandyte who funded our lighting upgrades in the Theatre to enhance the quality of not only this performance but many to come.

The night was really well attended both at the performance and also at the pre event Bake Sale and BBQ fundraiser. Thank you to our parents and students that baked, cooked, served and made the fundraiser possible. Thank you to all staff, students and families who attended the evening. Your support and enthusiasm added to the magic of the evening.

Late Pick Ups and Drop Offs

We ask that students arriving late to school are accompanied to the office with their parent/guardian to sign them in via the Compass machine at the front office. This is an important part of our duty of care to ensure students have arrived safely at school.

If you need to collect your child early please come to the office to sign them out and collect a slip to then take to the classroom teacher. As this is often in the middle of a teaching session we also ask your understanding that the teacher may not be able to have a conversation with you at this time beyond that of quickly helping you collect your child.

Wakakirri

Good luck to all of our 5/6 students that will represent ACPS at the Wakakirri Dance Festival next Thursday evening 3 August. I know how hard you have all been working towards this event and I have no doubt you will produce a stellar performance and do us proud, as our students always do.

I look forward to watching it from the audience.
