Kids in Space

On Friday the 28th of July, a group of students from Year 3, 5 and 6 attended the Kids in Space showcase at the Molesworth Campus Gym. Children from all over Victoria travelled to compete in the Maker’s Empire Kids in Space competition. 

Children in these year levels have been working on a term long project to design a 3D printed prototype using Design Thinking. The focus of our project was, how might tourists travel to space? 

At the showcase, students presented to children from other schools and the judges. Everyone left feeling proud of their hard work. Well done to all the students in Year 3, 5 and 6 who finished their projects.

Buddies!

This term we have the pleasure of travelling to the Molesworth campus to meet with our buddies. It is a great opportunity to connect with students of a different age and get to know them, their learning space and a bit about ourselves as well!

As senior members of the school, it is important that we exemplify our school values and good working habits so we can help our future school leaders have their best experience at North Melbourne PS. We got to know one another last week and shared some really exciting and fun apps on our iPads!

Thank you to Year 1 who hosted us. It was wonderful spending time in the new learning space with new friends.
