Senior School Subject Selection

Subject Selection for the Senior School in 2024 has commenced with students in Years 9, 10 and 11 attending Subject Selection Assemblies on Monday morning. Parents and students can access our Senior Subject Selection 2024 Handbook on COMPASS under the Community Tab >  School Documentation > Subject Selection Handbooks > 2024 Senior School Subject Selection Handbook. This resource contains information on the pathways on offer at our College and well as the extensive range of subjects available across the Senior School.

Web preferences will open for students in Year 11 to select their Year 12 program for 2024 on Monday 24 July. Web preferences will close on Thursday 3 August at 3.30pm.

To assist students in Year 9 and 10 with the selection of their subjects and program for 2024, students will receive a digital copy of the Subject Planning Sheet and the Career Planning Sheet next week after the Information Night and Expo. Students are advised to speak to their teachers about the subjects that they are interested in studying in 2024 as well as research possible career options. These need to be completed before their Subject Selection Interviews.

To further assist students in their pathway and subject selection for 2024, all students in Year 9 & 10 along with their parents/guardians will be invited to attend a Subject Selection Interview at the College. For Year 10 students, these interviews will run from Monday 7 August - Friday 11 August. For Year 9 students, these will occur from Monday 14 August - Friday 18 August. Information will be sent to families via Compass, regarding these shortly.

Senior School Information Evening and Subject  Expo

We would like to invite all our Year 9 and 10 students along with their families to attend our Senior School Subject Information Evening and Expo on Monday 24 July, in the College Oak Centre.

This will be a great opportunity for students and families to learn all about our Senior School Program and talk to our teachers.

The program for the evening has been split into two sessions.

Session 1

6pm to 6.30pm: Information presentation for our 2023 Year 10  students and parents followed by the Subject Expo.

Session 2

7pm to 7.30pm: Information presentation for our 2023 Year 9 students and parents followed by the Subject Expo.

We look forward to working with you and your child at this exciting time.

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

We will be holding our Term 3 Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences for students in Years 7-12 on Wednesday 2 August from 3.45 to 8pm. Our teachers will be available in the Oak Centre to meet with families during this time. There is the option of meeting via video conference for families that are unable to attend in person.

Bookings for this event will open on Friday 21 July at 9am via Compass.

The purpose of these interviews is to provide an opportunity for students, parents and guardians to speak with staff about student progress in specific subjects and seek advice surrounding the upcoming subject selections for 2024.  It is also an opportunity for staff to inform parents or guardians of any concerns they may have about a student; discuss strategies for improvement; and reinforce positive learning patterns.  We ask that students also attend these interviews with their parents or guardians.
