Year 10 Careers Camp

At 8am on Wednesday 12 July, our Year 10 students headed off to Melbourne for their annual careers camp.  The purpose of the camp is to give students a taste of university life.

Over a jam-packed three days, 150 students accompanied by 17 teachers, visited a number of different universities, TAFE Institutions, training providers and trade organisations to assist in their future career planning.

In the evenings students visited the Victoria Night Market, went to the movies or tested their skills on the ice rink.

We would like to thank Ormond College for their hospitality and feeding us over the three days, and also to all the institutions who made it possible.

Places visited included:

Melbourne University, Monash University, Deakin University, Box Hill TAFE, Kangan Institute, Hotel School of Melbourne, William Angliss, Parliament House, LCI Institute, AIE, Headmasters, Engineers Australia, Carlton & Richmond Football Club, The Big Issue, Metro Tunnel, Channel 9 (WIN News), Whitehouse Institute.
