What a
second term we had at Albany Rise! All Foundation, Year 1 and 2 classes have finished the Premier’s Reading Challenge. Each class has read 30 or more books to complete the Challenge. Certificates will be awarded during Term 4.
The library scores a goal with soccer books galore.
This week, classes have had fun reading “Frank’s red hat”, a shortlisted Picture Book of the Year. Each week, classes will have the opportunity to read one of the shortlisted books so that students can vote on their favourite Picture Book of the Year.
2W enjoyed creating their own hats and scarves for Frank and his seal friends.
Books are precious but sadly, some are being returned in damaged condition. Please be very careful to avoid drinking water or eating food near all books, whether they are from the library, or Take Home reading. Students should be using library bags to protect their borrowed books.
