Next week is Book Week!

Come to school for the day this Monday 21 August dressed as your favourite book character (Foundation students come as their favorite Fairytale Character)

At 9.15am the whole school Parade is on in the Gym - parents/family are invited to attend.  Every level will parade to music!

Our library will turn into a giant Book Shop again - the Grand Opening at 8.30am on Monday morning before the Parade.  We will be open before and after school Monday - Thursday: 8.30-9.30am or 3.30-4.30pm

Student visiting schedule to Book Fair:

Every class comes to visit Book Fair during school time from Monday to Wednesday.

Monday 21 August : Year 2 and Year 3

Tuesday 22 August: F3, F4 & F6, 1/14, 1/15, 4/26, 4/27, Year 5, 6/10 and 6/11

Wednesday 23 August: F1, F2, F5, 1/13, 1/16, 4/19, 4/20, 4/21, 6/9, 6/12

Students will be writing 'wish lists' or they may bring money along to simply make a purchase.  Families that prefer to come in with their child can do so before/after school - or send a pre-paid wish list back with their child.

(A reminder to avoid any disappointment: the Fair closes Thursday at 4.30pm and is collected by Scholastic, so late orders Friday are unable to be processed).

We were overwhelmed with entries to our LPPS Creative Writing Competition!  Our panel of teachers are reading through them all - winners to be announced at the Parade.

This week Author and past student, Danielle Binks conducted a Writer's Workshop with our Year 5 and 6 students.  This was inspiring and generated an influx of stories to our Writing Competition.  Danielle spoke about finding inspiration from your world and your experiences to spark your creative mind.
