Year 6 - School Leaders 2020

All of our Year 6 students are expected to be excellent role models for the younger students of St Joseph's School and can demonstrate this through their good manners, positive behaviour and by wearing their uniform with pride.  Some of our students were elected into Captain positions to perform specific roles throughout the year.  Our School Captains for 2020 are as follows:

Joseph House - Sport Captains- Ruby Muller & Kody Ring

We know they will do an exemplary job leading the school for 2020.

School Hours, Supervison & Attendance

A reminder that school commences at 8:45am and ends at 2:50pm. If your child arrives at school after 8:45am a parent or guardian will need to sign them in at the front office. A note has gone home today providing further information in relation to school hours, supervision and attendance of children at school. 

P & F Association News

The P&F's next meeting will be held on Tuesday 18th February 2020. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend. The meeting will commence at 5:30pm and will be held in the open learning area of our new building. Please enter the school grounds via the Crown Street entrance next to the Presbytery.  P&F meetings will be held on  the 3rd Tuesday of the month throughout the year unless otherwise advised.

Kindergarten Commencement Date 

Kindergarten will commence school on Wednesday 5 February.

Skoolbag APP and QKR

We would like all parents/guardians to install the Skoolbag App and the QKR App. To install go to the App store on your device and search each App, install and follow the prompts.

The Skoolbag App will give you access to notes, alerts, permission notes and absentee notes.

The QKR App will enable you to pay for excursions, school fees, uniform and clothing pool items, sporting events, P&F fundraising events, Sacraments etc.

We received $240 last year from the Lowes'  annual school uniform Easy Dollar scheme.  Please continue to support this scheme as it is another avenue to raise funds for our school.    Thank you to Lowes for their continued support.

School Fees 

School fees for Term 1 will be sent out to parents/carers by Week 3.  All families are asked to pay their account promptly please.  Just a reminder we now work on a 4 Term year for school fees, this change started in 2019. 

There has been a minimal increase in school fees for 2020.  Fees can be paid via the Qkr App; Direct Debit (please see Mrs Gardiner in the front office to set up); online banking (School Acc:  001000723  BSB:  082-105  - PLEASE indicate in reference who the money is from and for tuition); cash;  cheque.   

School Fee Schedule 2020

1 Child in family - $1,424.00 per year ($431.00 Term 1 - includes $100.00 maintenance levy; $331.00 Terms 2,3,4)

2 Children in family  - $2,549.00 per year ($712.25 Term 1 -includes $100.00 maintenance levy; $612.25 Terms 2,3,4)

3 Children in family  - $3,476.00 per year ($944.00.00 Term 1 - includes $100.00 maintenance levy;  $844.00 Terms 2,3,4)

4 Children in family - $3,807.00 per year ($1,026.75 Term 1 - includes $100.00 maintenance levy;  $926.75 Terms 2,3,4)

Please check your direct debit nominated amounts and contact Mrs Gardiner if they need to change due to the increase in fees.  Thank you.

Clothing Pool & Lost Property

If you need extra uniform items, don't forget to contact the clothing pool.  We do have a variety of sizes for sale.   Thank you to all the families and people connected to the school for their donations throughout the year.

'Real Talk' Information Seminar

All parents are invited to attend an information seminar on Tuesday 31st March from 6:00-7:30pm. This seminar is run by Real Talk and aims to provide practical guidelines to help parents navigate and guide their children through the current culture and what impact it is having on our children; technology - tips to help you understand and manage the social media and gaming world; and developmental changes and how parents can help.  The seminar will be held at school.
