Brisbane Clinics Update
Hello friends and families,
The hot topic around town is how cold it has been in Brissie this last month! We feel this image pretty much sums up how we feel. Do you agree? We hope you're staying warm and are keeping well.
Apart from being freezing, we've had an enjoyable month in the clinics, with lots of fun groups being successfully run for kids of all ages (check out our pics on page 4!), and some of our families and therapy team members taking some time away.
As we head in to term three, we would like to remind you about some of the things happening across our clinics. We are starting to focus more on school readiness for the 2023 school year, and preparing kids and young people for any transitions that might be happening for them soon.
We've had an increase in the number of worried parents contacting us concerned about their child's readiness for school next year. With the recurring lockdowns, down time due to illness, and periods of isolation, some kids just haven't had the same opportunities to practice much needed skills required for school. We are here to help! Page 3 includes a list of skills your child should have mastered in readiness for their transition to school (they might not be what you think!)
We are also looking forward to the upcoming Source Kids Expo. It's a highlight for us in our year as we love meeting new people, and chatting to families and other services. We particularly enjoy when our families that come to our clinics stop by to say hello. Please do if you are coming along this year.
Take care x
