LEARNING CONFERENCES (PARENT/TEACHER/STUDENT INTERVIEWS)

A reminder to all parents and caregivers that Learning Conferences will be held on Wednesday 27 July (Week 2, Term 3) for all students in Years 7-12. As a result of the feedback received from parents, the Learning Conferences will take place online via Microsoft Teams.

Parents and caregivers will be able to book interviews for eight minute slots between 9:00am- 7:30pm. Parents/caregivers will soon receive a separate email with detailed information about how to make interview bookings.

As this is the final Learning Conference for 2022 and is open for all students, parents/caregivers are encouraged to act quickly to book interviews as soon as bookings open.

SEMESTER ONE REPORTING

Semester One Reports for ALL students will be uploaded on SEQTA and visible to families by 6:00pm on Friday 1 July (Week 10, Term 2). Parents/caregivers should be aware that if a student has a high level of absence from school and/or has completed a low proportion of the assessment program, it may not be possible to allocate a Semester mark or grade for that particular subject.

MISSED ASSESSMENTS IN THE FINAL WEEK OF TERM 2

Some reminders about missed assessments for students in Years 8-12:

  • Students who do not complete their catch up assessment by the end of Term 2 will receive a standardised mark for the missed assessment.
  • Missed assessments (catch up assessments) will be conducted each day of next week at 8:00am in MLC9 (opposite the Koort Centre).
  • If the assessment is not included in the Semester One mark/grade it will contribute to the end of year mark/grade.

WESTERN AUSTRALIAN CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION (WACE) CREDIT FOR ENDORSED PROGRAMS

A reminder that students can receive credit towards the achievement of the WACE for participating in and completing Endorsed Programs. Students must submit copies of Endorsed Program participation/completion to the staff in the Pastoral Care Centre (PCC) or to me directly via email (lcicchini@sacredheart.wa.edu.au) by Friday 29 July (Week 2, Term 3).

If evidence of participation has previously been provided to the College, you are not required to provide the same evidence again, although you may wish to check this with me. Parents will soon receive a detailed letter in relation to Endorsed Programs.
