TWILIGHT ATHLETICS CARNIVAL RESULTS

The College’s Athletes' Twilight Carnival took place at the State Athletics Centre last Friday 17 June in wet and windy conditions.

Despite the weather, the spirit of competition displayed by all students, as well as the standard of competition, was extremely high. The determination of the following athletes saw many records broken on the day:

Emilia Reed (Year 7 Normandy) - F 200m - 28.52s (previous record: 28.52s, Hannah Whitbread, 2013)
Emilia Reed (Year 7 Normandy) - F Long Jump - 4.48m (previous record: 4.47m, Alice Tetley, 2016)
Nadija Stojkovski (Year 7 Carden) - F High Jump - 1.36m (previous record: 1.35m, Sophie Freeman, 2016)
Zac Varricchio (Year 8 Hannan) - M 1500m - 4:48.53s (previous record: 4:50.00, Matthew Ryan, 2015)
Matthew Dodds (Year 9 Carden) - M 800m - 2:12.75s (previous record: 2:13.51, R. Miles, 1989)
Matthew Dodds (Year 9 Carden) - M 1500m - 4:28.82s (previous record: 4:38.00, Owen Hurley, 2019)
Cash Nation (Year 9 Barlow) - M 100m Hurdles - 14.87s (previous record: 15.07s, Callum Corbett, 2013)
Isabella Rao (Year 11 Kimberley) - F Long Jump - 5:06m (previous record: 4.89m, Chloe Metcalf, 2016)

As well as these records, individual excellence over a number of events saw the following students crowned Runners-up and Champion Athletes for their year group.
