Conveyance Allowance

Parents/students may be eligible to claim Conveyance Allowance to assist with travel costs, if they are attending their nearest/zoned government secondary school and live 4.8kms or more from that school, via the shortest practicable route. Some special circumstances and exceptions apply.

The shortest practicable route should be determined with reference to Bing Maps or Google Maps. Please use 1726 Sturt Street, Lake Gardens, 3355 as the Ballarat High School address.

Conveyance Allowance applications already received in 2022, will continue to be applicable until the end of the school year.

However, you need to make contact with the School if:

• You have purchased a new half yearly ticket for second semester
• You have changed address and are now eligible and wish to make a claim
• You wish to submit a late claim for all of 2022

All new and late applications must be received by Friday 12th  August, 2022.

Eligible applicants will be reimbursed by EFT in December of 2022.
