Wellbeing News
A big thank you to our 5/6 families that attended our Respectful Relationships open walk in session on Thursday 23rd June. It was a great opportunity to share the What, Why and How Respectful Relationships is embedded into our wellbeing program at SMDP, particularly in the senior years.
This information session gave us time to explore some of the lessons around topics 7 & 8 and allowed us to have some great discussions about embedding a culture of respect and equality across our community.
Please continue to look out for more information about Respectful Relationships in our newsletter over the coming term.
The Wonder of Living Family Enrichment Program
As part of the students' Inquiry in Term 3, the Grade 5/6s will be exploring the big question ‘How can I develop an understanding of myself’? This will form an Inquiry investigation that explores change and challenges when growing up, developing awareness of self, and an understanding that there are accessible resources which are reliable sources of information.
This is a reminder that on Wednesday the 27th of July the families of children in grade 5/6 are invited to attend ‘The wonder of Living Family Enrichment Program’. We strongly encourage all students in grade 5/6 to attend with a family member.
Grandparents Day
On Monday the 25th July we will be celebrating all our wonderful Grandparents. Please look out for our invitation via Seesaw and Operoo. Our Grandparents celebration will begin with a Liturgy in the church at 9.15am followed by a classroom visit at 10am and some light refreshments at 10.30am. Please RSVP by Friday July 15.
