Feast day celebrations

THE first Friday in June is always very special on the St Norbert College calendar.

June 6 is the anniversary of the entry to eternal life for Saint Norbert and it is traditional for the College to mark the occasion with a day of celebration.

On Friday, 4 June – the 888th anniversary of Norbert’s death – St Norbert Day began with a Mass led by Father Peter and the Norbertines for students, staff and parents.

A morning tea for all Houses followed before the annual staff v student volleyball and soccer contests (after a penalty shoot, the student soccer team won).

During the afternoon, all students dispersed to various locations near and far to enjoy activities such as iceskating, rollerskating, a tour of Optus Stadium, a visit to the city to the Art Gallery and Museum, or to play snooker, mini-golf or see the animals at Perth Zoo.

As always, the Media Team was on hand to capture some of the highlights of the day.
