Principal's Report

Dear Families,

We certainly have been experiencing a winter blast!! Luckily, our school buildings are well heated, and we can take refuge inside. Students certainly enjoyed a hot breakfast on Wednesday morning with many coming back for seconds. 

END OF TERM ASSEMBLY

Our final assembly for the term will be on Friday 24th at 1pm. If the weather permits, we will have it in the amphitheatre. At the assembly, awards will be presented for the term and the P&F Weber Q2200 BBQ   Raffle will be drawn.  Tickets are $5 each, they can be purchased online or at the Office. Books have been sent home today attached to a flier. Proceeds from the sales will go towards furniture for our new outdoor space which is being constructed in September. 

TECHNOLOGY UPDATE

Staff and students are very excited to have some new interactive televisions in their classrooms. Several of our old interactive white boards have become outdated so we are gradually replacing them throughout the school. We are very thankful for parent contributions which enable us continue to upgrade our resources which in turn enhance teaching and learning. 

STUDENT REPORTS

Staff are putting the final touches to the reports. They will be sent home next Wednesday with your child/children.

LONG SERVICE LEAVE

Jenny Bathman is taking 8 weeks of well-deserved Long Service Leave commencing at the start of Term 2. We are fortunate to have Kerryn Jarvis coming in to replace her. Kerryn has been spending time with Jenny to familiarise herself with the program and students. 

HOT LUNCHES

Our hot lunches on Wednesdays and Fridays are proving to be very popular with both students and parents. Lunches are to be placed on the tray in the multi-purpose room before school on these days. 

SLIPPERS

Students are welcome to bring along some slippers to keep at school during the colder months of the year. 

SCHOOL COUNCIL & FINANCE

Our Finance meeting will commence at 6pm on Monday night followed by School Council at 6.30pm. Several of our new Child Safe Policies have been emailed out for School Council to review prior to the meeting.

KINDLING

We still have plenty of bags of kindling for sale. These can be purchased for $5 from the Office.
