Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
We had a great turn out at our ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’ for parents last week! Thank you to Kat for organising this wonderful event, and to parents who volunteered their time to bake and/or set up our hall. It was wonderful to see everyone mingle and get together for a good cause. We even had a special visit from Sr Joan! The event helped raise $782 in total towards Cancer research! What a feat!! Congratulations, once again, to all involved.
Sienna (3-4 Hub)
Hi my name is Sienna and I have been growing my hair since pre-covid with the purpose of donating it to the charity [Variety.org.au] that makes wigs out of real hair for children who have lost their hair due to terminal illness or heavy chemotherapy. A real hair wig would cost $6,000 to a family and only last up to 2 years. Me and my family are hoping to raise as much funds as we can to ease the cost of the wig for a family in need. Our goal is to reach $1,500 and we're getting close.
I will be doing the big chop on Monday 21st of June!
