Literacy - The Lost Girl

Written by Leo S

In the first week back at school 3/4VE did a lesson about the book The Lost Girl. We chose an animal from the book then we had 2 days to get as much information as possible and create a slide/document to present to the class. There were really interesting facts and the students got to choose if they worked alone or in pairs. I worked with Max and we found out facts about the Western blue tongue lizard. We enjoyed working together.

Maths - area of your dream backyard

Written by Jack B

We had to draw an area of your backyard and we had to search for things we wanted in our backyard and how much space they took up. For example I had a chicken coup and I think it was 5m wide and 2m in length. Then you had to make a poster of it on grid paper. The poster was done from a birds eye view. I had a green house, water feature, chicken coup and a grassed area in my backyard.

Lock down - Google Meet

Written by Gabriel D

We did a google meet every morning during home learning. We had cool backgrounds and had lots of fun because we got to see each other. You could share your screen - Miss Erin and Miss Vanessa showed us our work for the day. The other fun thing was we could wear casual clothes and sometimes we went a little silly.

Miss Vanessa and Miss Erin were doing Helpdesks and we had fun and they helped us with our work.  We learnt the Area Model for Multiplication and Miss Vanessa helped us, here is my work.
