Principal's Report

Welcome back to Term 3. It has been wonderful seeing all the students in class this week ready for learning and socializing with their friends at recess and lunch.

Sensory Garden

In exciting news this week the Sensory Garden has been completed. Over the next few days classes will be introduced to the space and will look at how it can best be utilized for play before opening it up at recess and lunch early next week, once all the temporary fencing has been removed. When you are on the school grounds next make sure you have a look yourself, it truly is a magnificent addition to our school.

5/6 Camp

After such a disappointing last year with missing camps, it will be fantastic to see our Year 5/6 students heading off to Sovereign Hill on Monday next week. If your child is experiencing concerns about the camp let your classroom teacher know and we can look for ways to support them.

Life Education

All year levels will be participating in Life Ed incursions over the 21st July to the 26th July. If you haven’t already please check that you have paid and given consent to this event via Compass. Life Ed’s trained educators provide lessons which are age appropriate and engaging. Students will be covering a wide range of drug and health related topics, ranging from the human body and how it works, healthy eating and nutrition, medicines and drugs, bullying, resilience and social skills. They may even also get to see Healthy Harold, the much loved Life Education giraffe mascot! The sessions are always fun, interactive and really extend and develop the children's understanding of the topics covered. Life Education also provides many parent resources for those interested in learning about a variety of health and wellbeing topics.
