Kids on Country Excursion

Jae, Nick and I took 17 students from Years 3-7 on Thursday 10/6 to the "Kids on Country" in the Adelaide Parklands for a day of cultural experiences with local Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. The students participated in activities of Rock Painting, Ochre Play, Animals Anonymous where we met some interesting native animals and learned important facts about them, a Kaurna Dance Workshop and a Kaurna Cultural Bush Tour learning information about plant use and animals in the bush. The students were complimented on their fantastic behaviour by several presenters and were excellent representatives of our school.
