Assembly Friday 18 June 2021
Parents/Carers are invited to attend the Assembly on Friday 18/6 at 9:00am in the Penney Unit. Miss Morton and Miss Martyne's classes will be hosting the event.

Philip Green: Aboriginal Survival Technology Incursion Monday 28/6
Naturalist Philip Green will present a visual and tactile experience of traditional technologies used by Indigenous peoples across the varied environments of Australia – deserts, mountains, rivers and sea shores. He has a large collection of museum-quality artefacts which are given out in multiple touch boxes for students to examine and handle.
A National Geographic photographer, who has visited or lived with Indigenous communities across Australia, including Kakadu and other states of Australia, Phillip will use his photos in an audio-visual presentation of the native plants and wildlife used for food, clothing, medicine, shelter, weapons and art.
The cost of the Incursion will be covered by the School. There will be no cost to the students.

HEPS - OSHC Vacation Care
Hackham East Primary School OSHC is open from 5/7 to 16/7/2021. All Vacation Care fees have CCS approval, (before subsidy) Inhouse $60.00, Incursion $68.00 and Excursion $75.00. Children are provided with sunscreen, hat and afternoon tea. Additionally, please ensure that you read what is required to be sent with your child/children on each particular day. Please also note that on excursion days the children will need to be at the service by the time stated on the program, we will unfortunately be unable to wait for anyone who has not arrived on time. Our hours of operation are 7:00am to 6:00pm, children must be collected on time.

On PAR Program
On PAR is a program focused on supporting your child in their education. Children can start on the program when they are in Reception to Yr 4. If children are happy and strong in their education, this helps them to be happy and strong in life.

Children & Family Counselling
Strengthen your relationship, address challenging behaviours and improve family connections. Children and Family Counselling supports the mental health of infants, children and their families. Suitable for families with infants and children up to 12 years old. This service will provide counselling and mental health support for your children and you. Other family members can be involved if needed.

Water Safety Program
Notes have been sent home to all Reception to Yr 5 students for the Water Safety Program. This program is part of curriculum and students are expected to attend. The program will be from Tuesday 20/7 to Friday 23/7 at a cost of $25.00 per student. If you did not receive a note please speak to your child's class teacher.
A reminder payment is due by Friday 25/6 for the Water Safety Program.
Student Free Day
Parents/carers are advised there is a Student Free Day on Monday 19/7 for staff to undertake Professional Development. If you require care for your child/children please contact Ally Gradisar, OSHC Director to make a booking.
School Banking
In 2021 School Banking with The Commonwealth Bank will be continuing. If you would like your child to take part in School Banking, they will need a Youthsaver account. Designed for anyone U18yrs. There are three ways to open a Youthsaver account:
- Apply online at commbank.com.au/schoolbanking
- Log on to your CommBank app (if you bank with CommBank)
- Visit any CommBank branch
School banking is every Thursday.
School Card 2021
All types of School Card applications are now online. You can access online forms from any device that gets internet, including mobile devices, such as tablets and smart phones, as well as laptops and computers. To apply online follow the steps below.
Step 1 Visit sa.gov.au/education/schoolcard
Step 2 Select the type of School Card you
would like to apply for (eg Type A)
and follow the prompts.
Step 3 Complete all mandatory fields
Step 4 Once you have completed a page click
on the "NEXT" button.
Step 5 Once you have filled out all pages click
the "SUBMIT" button.
