We finished our Escher unit with students in years 3-6 drawing realistic eyes and imaginary eyes in the younger grades. I am always so impressed with the quality of our students' work and the dedication they have to completing their artworks.

If you look closely in Escher's artwork what can you see?  

Our current unit of work is focusing on optical illusions which transitions nicely from the Escher unit. 

Students have been exploring the elements of art: line, shape, colour and tone to create these artwork. 

Below are some examples of the Op Art that have been completed so far. 

Try not to look too closely or too long at some of these works as they may try to trick your eyes!!!

I am also in the process of creating an online art exhibition so keep a look out for the link that will be coming out in the last week of term.
