Year 3/4–Celebrating Learning

3S - Main Lesson
Selby Mazel from 3S displays her amazing talents in this scientific diagram about bush tucker for our Farming Main Lesson.
4S - Lesson
As part of our Main Lesson writing focus this term, 4S are creating a
class cookbook. We began by brainstorming the Title & Theme we
would like to give our cookbook, on our class cooking Padlet. Here are
some of our suggestions:
My titles are ‘Sugar and spice and all things nice’ and ‘dinners
determined to destroy hunger!’ I think we should do the first one
because who doesn’t love something sweet? And I think we should do
dinner because they are fun and easy to make! – Tabitha 4S
I think the cook book should be called ‘4S's community cook book’ and I
think it would be a good idea to have a vegetarian section because I am
vegetarian and it would be good to know what I eat is vegetarian safe –
Rose 4S
‘Quick and Easy Boutique’ - Theme: desserts that are so easy you can
make them in your sleep.- Cohen 4S
I think that the name should be "Quick and easy sweet treats" and the
theme should be homely sweet treats. Saskia 4S
‘Pizza Heaven’ – Yum! Pizza! – Annabelle 4S
‘The Cook Book’ - Theme: All different types of cooking – Vivienne
3/4 Writer's Workshop
Over the past few weeks our 3/4 students have been working hard on the Writer’s Workshop process. We have been learning how to expand on a seed, plan, draft, edit, revise, and publish our writing.
The quality of narratives, information texts, and poetry that has been produced by our students at home is inspiring. Check out some of our work through the different stages of Writer’s Workshop.
