A message from Leon

Kii everyone,

Spring is in the air.  We are coming out of the winter and while many of our freedoms are not available yet, we continue to look forward to rejuvenation in the warmer months.  I have starting to see flowers bloom and I think of the quote by author Hal Borland:

“No winter lasts forever, no Spring skips it’s turn”

I am sure you have had times of feeling this winter would last forever.  I had my share of times feeling in the “blue zone” but I keep persevering and I have some terrific people in my life and school  who support me.    I have received a number of encouraging emails and calls from staff and the community during this whole term and I thank you so much.

Keep fighting on and reach out to family, friends, external supports as well as us if you ever need anything.

I would like to congratulate and give my heartfelt thanks to all the children, parents and carers and staff for your hard work and persistence during these winter months.  You all have supported the school in such unique ways during this time.

We have also had some wonderful experiences in the last few weeks.  I have seen people in their pyjamas and there have been some terrific virtual excursions.  This week we also celebrated National Indigenous Literacy Day and we also had a whole school gardening experience and Storytime with our Garden educator Aviva Reed.

We are waiting for Government announcements about Term 4.  There are a lot of details to sort out so please keep an eye on compass for the latest updates.

2021 planning

In among all this, we have started planning for enrolments and planning for 2021.  Our prep places are near capacity.  If you know someone who would like to enrol for 2021, please have them complete an enrolment form from our website and send it to school as soon as possible.

We will continue to run live virtual tours of our school.  Please email the office and they will send a link with the time of the next virtual tour.

I hope you all have a great break in these upcoming holidays.  We will try to provide you with the latest information via compass but you can always email us or call the office if you have any questions
