Mission & Identity
Year 8 RE Class 4
Our final term for 2020 has commenced and our first Chapel Mass for Term 4 was hosted by Year 8 RE Class 4. Our readings focussed upon the concerns the first Christians had in relation to keeping the Laws of Moses and being a follower of Christ. We heard that the early Pharisees were more concerned with the completion of ritual observance over the manner in which they interacted with others. Our homily provided by Fr Jim Mckeon elaborated upon this, with the young men of St Pius hearing that in our social justice and outreach work we are showing that we are a follower of Christ.
Our Mass will also feature in the video footage that was taken for the virtual tour being organised by the publications department.
We look forward to our next Chapel Mass on 27 October, which is to be hosted by Mr Di Sano's Year 8 RE Class 3.
