First Full Assembly since March
Our HSC students are busy with final preparations for their coming exams. We know they are working hard and we pray the following prayer for them as they will commence their first exam next Tuesday, 20 October.
Heavenly Father, we bring before you our HSC students.
Give them the gifts of wisdom, right judgement, knowledge and courage.
Bless them with calm hearts and clarity of mind as they sit for their exams.
May they be affirmed in their efforts and may they know that you are there with them.
We pray that they will stay calm under pressure and work to the best of their ability to ensure that their results reflect the effort they have put into their study.
May they feel your loving presence in their lives, now and always, and may they be strengthened by the prayerful support of us, their school community.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen

Welcome to Term 4 to all our students parents and staff. The week has begun full of enthusiasm and energy for this Spring term and I thank all parents for sending their son back in good summer uniform. We even held our first whole school assembly since March on Monday morning. Schools are allowed to hold 15 minute whole school assemblies. At this assembly, we renewed our determination to do our best in every way for Term 4.
Please note the change of date for our P&F AGM.
It will now be held on Monday 26 October at 7.00 pm. The meeting will be held via TEAMS and a link to the meeting will be included in next week's Woodchatta.
The Agenda for the meeting can be found in the P&F News page of this edition and will also be placed on the College App.

I share with you the outstanding Valedictory address from College Captain Lachlan Mathie. It is simply amazing. In my speech I praised Year 12 and in a most sincere way.

The Summer season commences on Saturday and all the players and coaches are very excited to be back in sport again. I wish all our teams a most enjoyable season and best wishes to all.
The College has carefully followed all Government guidelines and the following COVID-19 safety protocols are in place. It is expected that all players, officials and spectators follow the full attached list of protocols. In particular I emphasise the following arrangements that are in place:

I sincerely appreciate and thank the Sports Masters, Mr Stearn and Mr McBrearty, the Summer Sports Convenors and the staff at Oxford Falls. Oxford Falls is looking a real picture and I am sure the boys will enjoy playing at our outstanding home ground.
We have also begun our Performing Arts program again this term with some revised protocols and Mr Timmins and the Ensemble Directors and Tutors will issue more details to the students.
The College will have a professional videographer filming at Chatswood and Oxford Falls over the next two weeks. This footage will be used as part of a virtual tour and orientation video for new and prospective families as they are unable to attend the College in person. There will be some general school shots as well as a focus on a few individual students.
Parental permission will be sought for any individual students being filmed in a leading / talking role.
If you do not want your son to be filmed individually please email us today at privacy@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au.
