Many thanks in advance!

Junior Cross Country

On Wednesday morning, students in Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Year 2 competed in the Junior Cross Country event at Waverley Reserve. We were blessed with a fine morning and some wonderful running by all participants! Thank you to the parents who helped with road crossings and as course marshals. Thanks also to our Year 6 Faction Captains who made sure that no short cuts were taken! Well done to all our athletes, the efforts to complete the course were awesome especially to those who find running long distances a challenge.

A special mention goes to Jordan in Year 2G. Jordan showed true friendship and compassion when he stopped his own race to care for his best friend who was suffering with asthma.

Congratulations to the following place getters:

PP Girls- Zoe, Olivia P, Vienna and Mila

PP Boys- Eamon, Jacob, Marco and Marcus

Yr 1 Girls- Arabella, Natalia, Charlotte and Chloe

Yr 1 Boys- Ethan, Michael, Ken and Emmett

Yr 2 Girls- Grace, Emmy, Ciara and Zoe

Yr 2 Boys- Keegan, James, Andrew and Luca

Sporting Schools

It was our last scheduled Sporting Schools Rugby session on Wednesday. The skills and knowledge acquired over these 5 weeks has been truly amazing. All participants enjoyed the games and tasks lead by our Western Force coach, Doug. They were able to play a full non- contact game on Wednesday which was very skillful and competitive.

There will be one final Gymnastics session this Tuesday 19 June. This week, the children enjoyed using the different pieces of equipment provided by West Coast Gymnastics Club to improve their skills. I thank our coach Kylie who has kept our students engaged and catered for all abilities.

Running Club

Thank you to all those students, siblings, parents and teachers who have participated in Running Club this Term. The number of laps are recorded each week. To date, our runner who has recorded the most laps (350m per lap) is Alex from Yr 5. He has run 26km in total, a fantastic achievement! Please join us every Wednesday morning at Waverley Reserve.
