OLA Strategic Plan 2019-2021
On Wednesday afternoon, the OLA staff will be collaborating with Jeff Thorne in order to draft a new strategic plan for OLA. The School Board and P&F Executive will also be part of the planning process and will meet with Jeff on Wednesday night.
Once the Strategic Plan 2019-2021 is formulated using the data from last year's and this year's surveys, the document will be published to the community.
Thank you to everyone who participated in completing the surveys.
Reports Online
As communicated previously, reports will now be uploaded to the school's SEQTA account and parents will be able to create an account and download their children's reports.
Over the next couple of days, every family will receive an invitation email, with a link, to create an account. Parents will then be required to follow the link and create their own account. Once an account has been established, parents will be able to log on to the site any time and download their children's Academic Reports. Thanks to Amanda Cipriani, the SEQTA Engage Logo/Link has now been embedded onto our school's website home page and parents can log on via this link.
The process to create an account has been attached for you. We do anticipate some teething problems but we're confident these will be rectified before Monday 25 June when we go live and reports can be downloaded. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to either phone Vel Erskine or email her at vel.erskine@cewa.edu.au
Also attached to this section is a document explaining how to read your child's report. This year we have introduced descriptors, for core learning areas, which will assist you in becoming more informed about what your child is learning each semester and provide for more consistency between what is reported in each class in each year level.
Please take the time to read the attached documents.
Permission Slips for Excursions
Commencing this week, parents will be required to complete and sign all permission forms electronically. Our aim is to continue to become a paperless school. Staff will continue to email parents excursion notes explaining the excursion they will be attending with a permission section at the bottom of the note.
Attached to this section is a document explaining how to fill and sign documents electronically and email to your child's teacher. If you have any further queries or require support, please don't hesitate to contact Rebecca Smith via phone or email rebecca.smith@cewa.edu.au
Clive Chitty Farewell
All community members are invited to farewell Mr Chitty at our whole school Mass on Wednesday 27 June.
I take this opportunity to thank Mr Chitty for his contributions to OLA and wish him all the best for the future.
First Holy Communion
This Saturday at 4pm, our 4M communicants will be receiving the Sacrament of Eucharist. This is a very special time for the children and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
