Burgers with Bite: Social Conscience Meets Art

Mrs Miller's Year 10 art class did a fantastic job recently with 'The Great Burger Caper Challenge'. Students used a range of materials to create 'burgers' that incorporated a social message, by either replacing ingredients or adding other items. 2021 DSC Student Planner Artwork Competition 

Thank you to the students who put their time and effort into submitting their entry to redesign the cover of the 2021 DSC student planner!

Our judges are currently reviewing the entries and the winning design will be featured in the upcoming edition of this newsletter. 

Year 8: Portraiture Passion

Ms Patterson's 8B class recently explored the artistic genre of portraiture. 

They focussed on portraiture drawing skills with an emphasis on tone and the repetition of pattern. 

The task built on students' design processes and visual literacy, which creates a basis on which further skills can be developed.
