Sports Report

Virtual Cross Country 24th - 28th August

Next week see’s our first Virtual Cross County.  We feel that it is important to ensure that our students keep active during these times of remote learning, isolation and extra screen time. We encourage all students and staff to participate to foster some school community spirit in these challenging times.  Activities can be done any time during the week.

The range of activities that the Virtual Cross Country offers, gives both students and teachers the opportunity to participate in many ways.  They may want to walk or run their 3km every day or do a different activity each day or even just participate in one event; its about getting active and gaining as many House Points as you can to be in the running for the Shield!

Students have the opportunity to gain House Points in the following ways:

*    3km run or walk

*    3km or 1km time trial

*    Longest combined distance running

*    Most individual runs

*    Longest bike ride

*    Most bike rides (2km min).

Students have the option of downloading the STRAVA App on their smartphone to track their activity or entering their details on the STRAVA website on their laptop.  They will need to upload a photo as proof of their activity.  House Points will be awarded for activities completed in their Year levels as well as their Houses, and Age Champions will be awarded.

An Operoo (Caremonkey) letter will be distributed to parents on Thursday afternoon seeking permission for their child to participate in this event.

We look forward to seeing students uploading their activity data online and will be announcing the winners the following week!
