Windermere Child and Family Services

My name is Belinda Barker, I’m the Fundraising Coordinator at Windermere Child and Family Services.  Every year, we run our Merry Mission appeal, and it is our annual gift and hamper appeal that aims to bring joy and happiness on Christmas Day to disadvantaged families in our community.  For over 10 years with the help of people like yourselves, we have distributed more than 11,000 gifts and 1,900 hampers to thousands of families across our community through our Merry Mission Appeal.

Pakenham Springs Primary School have been very generous in the past, supporting us and collecting items on our behalf.

We are calling on your help again!

Merry Mission aims to bring real joy, happiness and hope to the lives of local children and families, at what can be a difficult time for so many.  Many of the families/children receiving gifts and hamper items have experienced extreme cases of disadvantage, trauma and vulnerability, and under the circumstances may not be able to afford food and necessities, let alone Christmas gifts.  The Merry Mission appeal aids in giving some control back to the families, during a time that brings so much joy to many.

Getting involved:

There are several ways you can help make a real difference to families this Christmas. You can :

• Donate gifts for boys and girls (ages 0 – 16 years);
• Donate non-perishable items for Christmas food hampers – find out what makes up a hamper here
• Make a cash donation (donations $2 and over are tax-deductible)

Our Merry Mission website provides you with resources and ideas which we hope will help make your Merry Mission support as successful as possible.  They include:

• Promotional material to encourage others to contribute
• Fundraising ideas
• Appropriate gifts and food items
• Information about how your support makes a difference

Together we will make a real difference, but we can’t do it without you!!

Please be aware that all donations will need to be dropped off or sent to our head office at

48 Webb Street,  Narre Warren no later than Tuesday 10th December 2019.
