National HPE Week at Mazenod
Since 2012, National Health & Physical Education Day has been the annual day on the calendar to raise awareness of and advocate for the value of HPE in Australian schools. The aim is to highlight the importance and impact on learning potential and wellbeing of all children, the benefit to all schools, and the valuable contribution to the wider community. The theme this year was “Good for Children, Good for Schools, Good for Communities”.
Here at Mazenod we celebrated HPE Day with activities throughout the week including quizzes (well done to Form 12C for winning the quiz!), fitness testing and Ride or Walk to School Day. A huge thank you to the HPE staff for their assistance and support of the activities, and to the large number of staff, parents and students who participated and enjoyed the benefits of being active.
