China Visit

Visit to Bo'ao

I had a very successful visit to China with Board members and Experts.

In Guangzhou David Vaughan and I were guests of South China Medical School and we presented at an academic meeting of the School of Public Health. We spent time with Professor Qianli Jiang and met numerous medical students to discuss the undergraduate programme.

We were then joined by Board members Wendy Nicklin, Shin Ushiro, BK Rana, Yuichi Imanaka and Experts Ezequiel Garcia Elorrio and David Greenfield to be the international faculty of the first international QCC competition in Bo'ao, Hainan Provence. David and I were judges in the completion of 28 teams, who were all winners from national QCC completions and one from Japan. Each of the competing teams will have a poster displayed at our conference in  Kuala Lumpur.

Our presentations at the Bo'ao China Healthcare Summit focused on accreditation as this is a hot topic in China. ISQua is seen as a key player in accrediting Chinese organisations who want take on this role. We see this as a very good opportunity for ISQua.
