Scienceworks Design Sprint

On Tuesday  29th October , five students were selected to go to Scienceworks to take part in a design challenge. They spent the first hour of the day watching a 360 degree movie in the planetarium, Carriberrie. This movie explored the culture and traditions of First Australians from around the country. The students were then guided through how to create their own 360 degree movie.

In the middle session, students heard from experts from a wide range of fields, from experts on culture and identity, to coding and interactive applications and even creative writers.

The rest of the day was an opportunity for students to create their own 360 degree movie using the program CoSpaces. They had to create a scene that would tell a story and highlight the identity of our five students.

A huge congratulations to the Year 5 students who took part in the design challenge. They created a fantastic scene and with a few more tweeks over the coming weeks, will be able to present their work to others!
