Italian Day

On Monday we all enjoyed an exciting day immersed in many activities celebrating the Italian culture. Grazie Signora Anderson for organising and coordinating a wonderful day.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day

On Friday 25th October, we had a Grandparents and Special Friends picnic.  Luckily, the weather was in our favor and we got to set up our picnic rugs out in the paddock!

In the Year 1/2 community, we have been learning about history and what life was like in the olden days in Inquiry so we wanted to ask our families questions about what life was like when they were growing up.

Our guests brought along games that they used to play when they were children including: Jenga, Test Match, noughts and crosses, Uno, dominoes, egg and spoon races, Monopoly, Donkey and quoits. We made cards for our guests to thank them for coming.

Our favourite parts were:

Christina: eating Vietnamese picnic food and speaking in Vietnamese with my family

Luke: eating cake, drinking juice, spending time with my grandparents and playing down ball with Raphy

Vivian: playing Uno with my mum because sometimes I beat her!

Giang: how lots of people came and were eating spring rolls

Year 5/6 Camp

On the 23rd to the 25th October, the Year 5/6 community attended Marysville Outdoor Education Group campsite. Some of the activities were canoeing , cycling, bush skills, low ropes and boulders and rock climbing.

The Year 5/6 community enjoyed themselves at camp, spending time with friends, even getting the chance to meet new people. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided as well as multiple cabins to sleep in.

The last night we all gathered together and roasted some marshmallows at the campfire and Miss Pincho showed some incredible hula hoop skills to us! Camp 2019 was an overall success and a big thank you to all the teachers and staff setting up the Camp .

Zoo Comes to You

On Wednesday 30th October, the Year 3/4 students had the unique experience of having the Zoo come to us! Led by Ben the animal expert, the students were able to get up close and personal with lots of different Australian animals. They learnt about their diets, habitats and what to do if you saw any of these animals out in the wild!

It was a fantastic way to spend a Wednesday morning, and will be incredibly useful as the students begin their own journey to becoming animal experts!
