Junior School Council - Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal

During the last week of Term 1, the Junior School Council worked hard to fundraise much needed funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. They sold Zooper Doopers, a “guess how many jelly beans are in the jar” competition, an arts and crafts station, an “Imagination Creation” drawing competition, “pin the tail on the donkey”, and they hosted a pyjama day and disco!

The winners of the Imagination Creation Drawing Competition were:

Foundation – Mahmoud 0MD

Year 1 – Ivy 1HS

Year 2 – Jana 2AT

Year 3 – Derin 3BS

Year 4 – Ruby 4AR

Year 5 – Phoenix 5FC

Year 6 – Ayda 6DW

Thank you to Mary from the canteen for providing the gifts for the winners of this competition.

The winner of the “Guess how many jelly beans are in the jar competition” with a guess of 387 jelly beans was:

Lucy 5MM

It was such a pleasure to support the JSC throughout the final week of term 1. They worked hard and their efforts paid off. Their attention to detail needs to be commended, and their leadership throughout the experience was inspirational.

A special mention about the fundraiser goes to Ella, Aya, and Jusef from 4PL for running “Mabel’s Market” on a Saturday to raise money for the Good Friday Appeal. They sold cakes and treats and raised $126.25!

The Junior School Council extends a very heartfelt thank you for all donations. Due to the generosity of the community, we were able to raise $1,689.70!

Thank you!
