Book Shopping over the Holidays

I had the opportunity to visit two of my very favourite book shops over the holidays and have purchased a range of books including Non-Fiction, Picture Books, Graphic Novels, and many shortlisted or notable listed books from this year’s Children’s Book of the Year selections.  I can’t wait to have these books available for our students.

Inspiring Young Readers, Writers & Illustrators - Author Week 22nd-25th May 2023

This year our Author Visit Week will be very exciting.  We have invited:

 

Adam Wallace – Author/Illustrator of over 200 books, 

Claire Saxby – Author of 2022 CBCA Book of the Year – Iceberg

Sofie Laguna – Author of many picture story books for young children

Coral Vass – Author of the acclaimed book “Sorry Day”, and

Andy Lee – Author/Comedian - will also be talking to some of our students.

 

During Book Week this year we have organised one of our foremost First Nations’ Author/Illustrator/Songwriter – Gregg Dreise to come and perform for our whole school.
