OSHC news

On Harmony Day this term, we had a group discussion with the children about what they think it represents. The children shared their ideas and said they believe it is about accepting others, including everyone, showing kindness and celebrating all cultures. We then worked together on some group art displays for the OSHC room. The children wanted to make a giant Harmony Day banner including the Aboriginal flag, the colour orange and friends holding hands. Then we decorated lots of different coloured fish for our front window display – “In this school, we are all different but we are all stars!” We also made a giant mosaic flower together – “When we work together we bloom.”

We have also been busy the last few weeks making lots of fun Easter crafts. The most popular favourites were waving bunnies, chicken egg weaving and Easter crowns.
